Can I book with my friends?
Yes! University is often the first chance you will have to live independently and what better way to do it than with friends? Where possible we will arrange group bookings, subject to availability and we will contact you to confirm your request.

Can I move in early?
Where possible we will try and accommodate requests for early arrivals. Please call us directly on +44 1274 965488 or email
info@hillandstandardpm.com to check availability. Alternatively make a request when booking and we will let you know.

Will my room be cleaned?
Prior to arrival we will ensure your room is cleaned, however once you are moved it will be your responsibility to ensure the cleaning and general upkeep of your room or shared areas.

Can I bring my car?
If you are lucky enough to own a car Laisteridge Student Village offers free secure parking, providing you with the perfect opportunity to explore the local area. For more information about car parking contact the Accommodation Manager on +44 1274 965488.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Bed linen, duvet, pillows and sheets
  • Kitchen utensils, including saucepans, plates, cutlery and glasses
  • Personal items to dress your room
  • Stationery
  • Your laptop

Will my room be checked?
We take maintenance of rooms and your safety very seriously. We undertake full room (and common areas) inspections at least three times during your tenancy period. We will also check for cleanliness, damage and for missing items. You can find details of costs for cleaning, damage and missing items in your handbook provided at the start of your tenancy.

Do you accommodate all students?
Yes! We regularly have many returning students, Freshers, Placement students, Postgraduates, International and home students. We also cater for Individuals, couples and groups, if you have any queries contact the Accommodation Manager on +44 1274 965488.

Can I move out before my tenancy ends?
Our tenancy is arranged with you on an assured, short term fixed term tenancy and as a result you cannot end it early. However, should you be able to find a replacement tenant, as long as they take over the full length of your contract and pay the rent in full then we can accommodate this.

What happens if there is a problem with the heating or other services?
Contact the on-site management team on +44 1274 965488 and they will arrange for maintenance to attend and fix the problem.

Can I rebook my room for next year?
Laisteridge Student Village is so popular with our tenants that many of our residents are returning students — you can never have to much of a good thing! We would advise that you apply sooner rather than later to book your room as we cannot guarantee it will be available. Booking early will significantly improve your chances!

Do I need to pay any bills?
Your weekly rent includes all electricity, heating, water bills and room internet access. However, we follow a ‘reasonable use policy’ and ask you to be considerate with the facilities. We will first notify you of our concern. If our notice is not considered, we reserve the right to charge you for such excessive use.

What should I do if I lose my keys?
Should you lose your keys please request a new set from the accommodation office. Please note that you will be required to pay for a replacement set. If the office is closed you can contact the Student Warden on site. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm.

If you suspect your keys may have been stolen please inform us immediately — safety is our prime concern. In that respect we ask that you also;
Do not label your keys
Do not give them to anyone else

What is included in the rent?
Your rent is all-inclusive of utility bills, including electricity and water, as well as onsite management.
In addition to these each room has free super fast internet access. The inclusive rent is subject to a ‘reasonable use’ surcharge if we feel after making you aware that your continued use of electricity or water is excessive.

Is internet provided?
Yes! Our super fast Wi-Fi service is provided in all rooms at Laisteridge Student Village and is included in your rent.
