The realisation for many parents that their nearest and dearest is about to leave for University is a worrying time. For your son or daughter they are about to embark on one of the most exciting and fulfilling moments in their life.

We want to reassure you that Laisteridge Student Village offers everything they could possibly want from student living all in a friendly, safe and self contained community complex.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week — their safety is our prime concern

Hill & Standard is a leading provider of accommodation to thousands of national and international students and we take safety very seriously.
Studying away from home can be daunting and our friendly on-site reception staff ensure a warm welcome to help your son or daughter find their feet while becoming part of vibrant community.

Secure & safe

Heat and smoke detectors are fitted as standard throughout the Laisteridge Student Village. In addition 24 hour CCTV is installed with entry to our student accommodation via electronic systems operated by cards, fobs or number pads.
Security are onsite throughout the night 8.00pm – 8.00am.

Emergency contact

Should an out of hours emergency ever arise, we provide contact numbers to our students and our alarm systems are linked to 24/7 security ensuring rapid response.

Student wardens

As well as our accommodation teams, student wardens are based on site for any out of hours assistance/emergencies. Fully trained in First Aid and Fire as well as being students themselves, they can also relate to the tenants and offer help and advice where possible.

Maintenance

If there is a maintenance fault, we can arrange for a maintenance operative to fix the problem. Our accommodation managers are there to help!

Booking process

Tenancy Agreement

A Tenancy Agreement is a legal document. Once signed it places an obligation on the resident and guarantor (if applicable) to meet their payments and the terms of the Tenancy Agreement are binding.

The guarantor

For those tenants who choose to pay termly (3 instalments) we will require a UK Guarantor. Guarantors are there to ensure any rent will be paid should the resident default on their rent. The Tenancy Agreement must be signed by the tenant and the guarantor. If you are unable to provide a UK guarantor your rent will be due for the year.

Room allocation

When booking online you will be given different preferences to choose from, for example to be in a specific flat/room, to share with friends, etc. We will endeavour to accommodate your preferences where possible.

Moving in

As you move in date draws closer we will send you a reminder to make the necessary arrangements. We will also provide you with a moving in guide with useful information — the guide can be found on our website before the term starts.

And, don’t forget that our accommodation team are on hand to help your move be stress free. The team will show you where to go and answer any questions you may have.

Studios and shared apartments come fully furnished with the kitchens including microwaves. Here are our list of essentials:
